Dramatic purple
This is a strong colour, not for everyone, but certainly well suited to a girl’s bedroom: it is called S 3050-R60B.

Breaking away — just briefly — from the dominance of Farrow & Ball in our recent run of blog posts about colour, here is an example of a successful pairing from Dulux which we worked with on a house in Herne Hill: Classic Cream on the masonry and Gallant Grey for the front door…
Sharp work here from Shane, working on new windows in old frames — the top coat on the woodwork, on this occasion, was the Rubbol Satura Plus from Sikkens, a pleasingly low-sheen eggshell.
We were delighted to receive some follow-up comments from Louise and Lee…
“Thank you for the work you have done on our property, it couldn’t have been easier from our side and a great finish on all the areas. Thank you again, we will be sure to give you a call in the future for the next part of the flat refurb.”

Katya Davies, the founder of Myla and Davis, was kind enough to describe in detail the experience she had when we carried out the internal and external decoration of her new salon in East Dulwich…
“Graeme and James headed up the internal and external decoration for our new hairdressing salon in East Dulwich. I had worked with them previously and it really gave me peace of mind from the outset to know they were involved in our new project.
Working with them is a pleasure from beginning to end. They made every effort to fit our work in (despite its last minute nature), provided an extensively detailed quotation (as always) and began on time (despite their many other projects).
Both Graeme and James got on extremely well with other tradesmen working alongside them, making the site not only a pleasant place to be but somewhere you were confident there was collaboration.
On this project, the builder preceding Graeme and James let me down badly and I was hugely relieved with the significant effort that they made to rectify the bad workmanship — going way beyond the call of duty. They both seem to have a real understanding of the unique constraints and pressures of a commercial project, and as a result of their effort we opened on time. This really sums up how I feel about working with Trim Decorating — they are painstaking in their efforts to assist their clients. I wouldn’t work with anyone else.”

Laura Southerland commissioned us to fully redecorate her home in south London, and wrote about the experience:
“I’ve been extremely pleased with my experience of working with Graeme and Jim. I liked their thorough and inquisitive approach to inspecting the work to be undertaken. They took the trouble to really review and understand what was required. I also liked the full quotation which was provided — it outlined the work process and gave me a good understanding of where my money would go.
When it came to project management, I very much appreciated Jim’s professionalism, reliability, great communication and unfailing cheerful humour. I also really valued his can-do approach and that he went out of his way to complete other small tasks that were not strictly part of the project, but which were extremely helpful to me.
He made what could have been quite a major and disruptive project very painless. For these reasons, although the quotation was the highest of those I received, I felt that it was really good value for money.”
